Red Again?? March 1, 2005
I’ve just received the ‘invitation’ to replace my salary sacrifice vehicle and I’m hung up on the most important of decisions.
Should I have a red one again?
The range of colours available for this car is pretty boring. The red (called ‘vixen’) is probably the brightest colour available. The next brightest is a blue called ’shockwave’. I could go for the black - ‘vibe’ - but I can’t have tinted windows so you wouldn’t get the full effect. There’s a yellowy/green called ‘peel’, but I’m not a fan of those sorts of colours. The other alternatives are the fairly standard navy, maroon, silver, variations on them and, of course, white.
White is the only colour I completely refuse to consider. Almost every member of my family has a white car, so I refuse to have one too.
I was really hoping they’d have a purple or a really nice, rich green this time. That would have made the decision easy.
Maybe it will be red again…

red cars are very Nicky.
There are some habits you should maintain. And Nicky in a red car is definitely one of them.
Black cars get Very Hot in the sun but white cars remain quite cool. If it was my decision I’d go for the blue one.
i agree with tim on this one. black cars are a lot hotter, and they need to be cleaned more often because every dirty mark shows up.
actually Kristen, you only half agreed with me. Nicky may be a red car person but i can’t think of anything more wonderful than a blue car.
