It’s stupidly expensive but fantastic April 17, 2005
On Friday Mark & I were talking about what to do with our Foozley-free Saturday night.
There were no movies that either of us really wanted to see badly. Nothing at the Comedy Festival.
So I idly mentioned Cirque du soleil and how it would be good to see it, but it would be stupidly expensive and out of reach of people who are trying to give up their prodigal ways.
Mark said we could talk about it later.
And went and booked the tickets.
It was very, very, very, very, very, good.

and i always thought prodigal meant repenting of your naughty ways and going back home to Daddy - and you left off one ‘very’
Sometimes, though, you need to go and see something that’s very, very, very good, no matter how stupidly expensive it is.
tim, I used to think that. However this would make the story of the Return Of The Prodigal son the Return of the Returning Son. I actually don’t think the Biblical prodigal son repented as much as went home and asked for his half again.
