The date is set April 19, 2005
I saw the ENT surgeon who will be removing my tumour today and got a date for the operation.
Wednesday the 18th of May.
I will be in hospital from the day before until the following Thursday or Friday. The surgeon recommended that I take another 4 weeks off after that. So that’s about 6 weeks all up.
Weird as it may sound, I feel much better for being able to say 18th of May.
I like to have deadlines to work towards.
this is definitely a positive thing, having a date to work towards. makes it tangible, manageable. good luck.
You mightn’t feel like it but i think you’re managing this with a great deal of courage and level headedness.
I second Tim’s comment. I think I’d be a blubbering mess if I was going through what you are at the moment. I’m glad the date is fixed. I’ll have it in my diary so I can send good vibes your way (that’s my equivalent of praying).
I know that this will all be okay. You’re a strong lady and this is just a bump (ok, a big one) in the road. Anyway, my thoughts are headed your way.

there are moments of blubbering mess, tight-lipped fury and ridiculous flippancy. mark is living with about 4 women in one body at the moment and I’m pretty sure he’s terribly confused.
