I’ve been wanting to go home for the last hour or so - since 3.30 - but have stayed in the office for two reasons.
Firstly I felt it would be unnecessarily slack of me to leave so early.
Secondly there is a change going on in production that I am nominally responsible for and I probably should be on deck if something goes wrong.
I hate nominal responsibility.
i have the exact opposite problem on Fridays - we knock off at 2:30 but I feel slack leaving work so early - it’s partly to do with having worked ’til 5:00 all my life and partly because i kind of enjoy hanging around being useful
