This morning one of the chooks delivered a giant egg.
I hope it didn’t hurt too much.

It didn’t hurt. Look at the girth (which is pretty plain in the photo). It’s not much greater than a normal egg.
Having kept a lot of chickens over the years, that’s how it goes.
