Day out with The Mavis November 4, 2006
I’m recently returned from a day out shopping - well more like a couple of hours - with The Mavis and I am pooped!
We went over to DFO and shopped until we dropped. This doesn’t take very long these days, given that The Mavis is old and I am pregnant, but it was long enough.
We bought quite a few bits and pieces for the baby - some pink and all pretty - a couple of things for Finn so that he doesn’t feel left out and a couple of skirts and a pair of linen pants for me (not maternity wear, but elastic waisted). We didn’t discuss the name thing much, which was good as it might have soured things a bit and we generally had a lovely time together. On a good day, which today was, The Mavis and I make a good combination.
I left my folks as they were drifting off for their afternoon snooze. If I’d stayed a minute longer I might have joined them. Now I think I might plop myself on the couch and find some mindless telly to watch until my boys get home.
