Hmmm… November 28, 2006
There is much I could say … my fingers are itching to type … but I won’t …
OK, I will just a little bit…
Someone, who shall remain nameless, said on their blog, “It never ceases to amaze me the level of fiction some people need in their lives”, or words to that effect. At the time my thoughts in response were very much along the lines of ‘you, of all people, would know’.
I wasn’t wrong.

perhaps I am just really naive but I was quite stunned by the sheer audacity of it. I expect people to defend their point of view, I know I do. All the same I found myself genuinely surprised.
I have whole shelves of fiction too, but suspect that may not have been what said writer was amazed at. However if they were then they should have been impressed at the recent cull of fiction.
I’m seldom amazed at people’s ability to be hypcrites though. I am quite good at it myself, but do try to rein it in somewhat.
Actually we have so little fiction left on our shelves it is almost embarrassing. Still it is nice to have all that space back and know that what is left are really good books.
