And it didn’t really improve December 20, 2006
It seems that Finn didn’t get whatever it was that made him sick out of his system as he continues to be unwell. I was thrown up on 3 times this afternoon. The fourth time I managed to get the bowl under his chin and the fifth neither Mark nor I were close by and Finn threw up all over his tshirt. Fortunately by then it was just cordial.
After all that vomit I’m not really interested in dinner tonight, although I know I’ll have to eat something at some point. I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how I handled being chucked on. It must be a ‘mum thing’. Once upon a time I’m sure I’d have joined in. My only real problem is that I’m rapidly running out of clothes, having changed 3 times, so there’ll need to be some washing done this evening.
Finn seems relatively OK at the moment. He’s lounging around watching telly and is rather subdued. We’re refusing to give him any more juice or cordial since we think that wasn’t helping and am giving him water only for the moment to make sure he stays hydrated. We’re hoping that he’ll be better tomorrow and this will just be some bug passing through.
The upside of spending the afternoon on the couch watching a sickie is that I’ve managed to put the finishing touches on a couple of things I’ve knitted for Leila. I sewed some buttons on a cardi and put together a little shrug type thing. I’m quite pleased with them both and will take some pictures when they’ve been washed and blocked. I still have another cardi that needs the band redone (I’m really very bad at knitting bands and I don’t know why), a blanket that I got bored with and a jacket/cardi that’s still in the early stages. I’ve been a sidetracked by some little scarves that may, or may not (depending upon how happy I am with them), become part of Christmas presents and pictures of them will appear if they turn out OK.
