Tired, tired, tired … January 31, 2007
We are three tired little poppets this evening. And it’s not a particularly good combination.
Mark is tired due to a lack of sleep last night and his first 2 full days at school (no teaching yet though). I am tired due to being 33 and a half weeks pregnant and spending the day being run ragged by an incredibly busy 3 year old. And Finn is tired due to being an incredibly busy 3 year old.
This business of Mark going off and being the breadwinner and me staying home being the housewifely person - the traditional nuclear family - is a new gig for us. And I think it’s going to take some getting used to. Yes, we did it during Mark’s teaching rounds last year, but I wasn’t quite so round at that point (in fact I wasn’t round at all) and my roundness is having a huge effect.
We will adjust though and get the balance sorted. It just might be a little bumpy along the way…
