Now We See You … Now We Don’t June 22, 2007
After our pay tv was installed on Wednesday we noticed that we weren’t receiving the free-to-air channels through the new box. A black screen would show with a message that there was no signal being received. Mark duly rang the provider and arranged for someone to come and look at it this afternoon.
Last night the free-to-air channels (the ones that are supposed to work, that is) were working.
This morning they weren’t.
Half an hour ago they were on again.
I’m really not in the mood to have someone look at me like I’m an idiot, shrug their shoulders and say “Well, it’s working now…” so I rang the provider to cancel the visit. The call centre operator said that it’s still worth having the tech visit so he’s still coming some time this afternoon. I just hope he’s not in the mood to shrug his shoulders.




Sue said her bigpond cable internet was down but the telly was working - perhaps it is a technical difficulty. It does seem that the box is the first thing blamed, i think hers was replaced as well.
