Party next door’s still swingin’ September 2, 2007
I just wish they were moondancin’ to Van Morrison.
It’s 5.45am on Sunday morning. Next door’s party is still going.
I went in a little while ago to tell them the music was too loud. I figured being able to hear it when I’m lying on my good ear is a reasonable measure of too loud. There was a lull, but now I can hear the thump-thump again. I might give them another half hour or so before I go and become the crazy lady standing in her dressing gown (well, Mark’s actually, mine’s too tatty) ranting about the bloody noise.
I haven’t met these new neighbours and I don’t want to get off on the wrong foot with them but sleep is a precious commodity in this household and I reserve the right to go all medieval on the ass of anyone who denies me my limited quota of nightly unconsciousness.
These people really don’t want to piss me off. Afterall, we have their Sherrin. At least I think it’s their’s. It hit one of our windows yesterday afternoon. I might become the grouchy neighbour who won’t return your footy. The neighbour from hell.
when i’m in that situation i have no qualms in calling the cops.
Next time we will be calling the cops. I just like to give them one strike first.
Actually I was most pissed off that the noise was so loud that Finn couldn’t sleep in his room. He ended up in with us.
