Gentleman’s Fancy Sock October 2, 2008
I’ve completed another pair of socks for Mark. This pattern came from Nancy Bush’s Knitting Vintage Socks, which I’ve had for a couple of years but not knitted from before.
They turned pretty well, although the toes look a bit pointy for my liking. When not being worn the socks look absurdly long and narrow but Mark says they’re a good fit so that’s all that really matters.

They are a fine looking pair of socks. I believe it is required when one is talking about gentleman’s socks to say something about well-turned calves. Which makes me think dizzy cattle.
